Can't Get my Engine Timed!
hey guys, i feel like a moron for even posting about something like this because it seems so amatuer but oh well. I recently swapped a D15B7 into my '91 rex Hf. When i did the swap i just threw on my OBD0 dizzy and never timed the car, seems to have been driving fine for over a month now but today i bought a timing light to time it, went through the steps, jumped the jumper, warmed up the car, loosened dizzy bolts, hooked up the timing light and pulled the trigger at the crank pulley but wtf am i lookin for, i can't see anything , there are no marks whatso ever while the motor spins, i dont' know what i'm doing here, someone help please? btw, i returned the timing light already because i was gonna destroy it otherwise in a fit of rage.

Usually if you install the distributor on like it was bolted up before
it will be in the ballpark unless the cam timing is off..
For the marks on the pulley,
You will probably have to clean it up with a scotch-brite
and some brake cleaner or degreaser..
Look at the top of this pulley:

See the three marks?
There are also marks in the middle of the pulley..
See those? not so well huh?
How about now?:
