**To anyone that has a b series motor in their garage.**
I'm smack dab in the middle of a clutch swap. At the moment, I'm trying to separate the transmission from the block. At the bottom, there's a little crack, like it wants to break free but at the top of the block/transmission, it's all joined, not even a little space. I've taken off all bolts that are visible... Maybe it's just looking for some crobar love?
If you got a motor chillin in your garage, please count how many bolts join the tranny to the block. (the flywheel cover doesn't count.)
It might even be faster to drop the whole damn motor/trans at this rate.

theres 2 metal brackets that hold the flywheel cover on, that connect the the engine. also, did you remove the halfshaft? i had trouble dropping my tranny but it was because it was hung up on the halfshaft
There are 6 bolts holding the tranny to the block. Then there are the bolts that hold the tranny to the rear bitch mount.

Took the flywheel cover off ... I took the top bolt off of the starter already but I think I'm just going to remove the starter when I start working on it.
6 bolts? I'll have a look
the driveshafts were removed...

The rear mount is disconnected from the trans. I took all the bolts connected to it off but it's still attached to the frame.
I'm 8 Hours in fellas. It doesn't look good.
I figured that I would have it done in 6 hrs.. boy was I wrong.

The bolt that holds the starter to the tranny to the block is the bottom one. There are 2 on the top going into the block and 2 more on the front side going into the block and then one going the opposite way (block into the tranny) below the 2 on the front side.

I got a couple hours until I got to be there... thanks for the help... I'll let ya know when I get done.
