So basic info.. i have an eg hatch with a B18C1 and a integra Ls tranny soon to be b16 tranny. Anyways i got the car in November and it was running well. But the only problem was the syncros and i think 4th gear is going out and 3rd grinds alot. So my problem is that just a few days ago the car started shuting off by itself. i would be in 4th at 40mph and all the readings would be right but still turned off??. could it be my tranny? Could trannys make your car turn off? I told a friend about my problem and he said it could be my coil pack? So im wondering what the hell is going on, if you can tell me what might i check for or if your a badass and tell me whats wrong.??

yeah it's not your tranny. If it was your tranny you would be prolly stuck in couple gears at the same time. It's a bitch of the problem but either you diagnose it, or pay somebody to diagnose it. It's prolly at least 2 hours. Any codes, or anything that could help us out?

 

does it die instantly or die slowly (ignition or fuel)
it could be many many things. (wiring, main rely, coil, ignitor, key, fuel filter, fuel pump, ECU)

tranny's fault? really doubtful.

 

if hes just driving and the engine turns off but everything else works its the coil...same thing hapened to my old ls/vtec, and my old d15b, and my b18b...replace the coil...im 99.99999% sure that will fix it
