PLEASE DONT REPLY TO THIS THREAD

i have a stock del sol S coupe. went out there today to clean her up a bit and make sure everything was working fine, shes been sitting for awhile but i started it up and it struggled then made a clicking noise repeatedly. like click click click....etc. anybody know what this could be from? the car is getting a new head gasket tomorrow for certain reasons.

did it start before with the bad head gasket?

have you checked the normal

air / fuel / spark

sounds like you batterys dead though

Sounds like a week battery, you said it was sitting for a while so I ask did you leave something on? Trunk light maybe or something or it could just be old.

Either case, classic symptoms of a dead or drained battery.

 

yea i think ima going with that, *sigh*. im posed to be trading the car tomorrow. ummm the car did start with the bad head gasket before. but its been atleast a month since ive started it due to school and my surgery. this sucks!

did you happen to clean the engine bay? my guess is you got water in the sparkplug holes/got your dizzy wet. i did this before, its a common mistake. take out your sparkplug wires and see if there is any wetness

 

ok, mom just came home with my head gasket. but it says it will fit:

1.5L (d15b1, d15b2, d15b7)
enigne 1488 cc 1988-95
1.5L (d16a6) canada enigine
1488 cc 1989-90
1.6L (d16a6) enigne
1597 cc 1988-91

now i talked to him over the phone and he said its for the D15b7 motor. now will this fit or no? the make of it is Fel-Pro.

 

let this one sink, ima start a new thread about the head gasket thing since im getting no replies
