Over the last few weeks, I've been diagnosing a problem that occured after I swapped my new engine in my car. My car is a '98 EK Coupe and the engine is a B18A with a GSR transmission.
The problem I'm having is that when I rev up the throttle too much and do not feather out the clutch grandmother-style, the driver's side of my car stutters and jerks violently. My first thought was the axle, so I repaced that with no luck.
My only other ideas are that the rear mount is **** (but I don't think this would cause that severe a problem, centralized in the area that it is,) also someone mentioned that it might have to do with the steering column, but I don't have much of an idea about that.
Any help/suggestions?

did you change the rear bracket on the motor with a 99-00 civic si bracket. its an L shape. if not this might be your problem. i got one for sale too 50 shipped
what kind of ECU do you have? you may have something weird with it. my vtec controller comes unplugged sometimes and my car does all kinds of jerks. check your mounts again and make sure theyre on tight. it only happens when you get on it?

This is from a stop, or from 1-2 gear changes, if it's too harsh.
Also, I'm noticing that it is getting harder to find gears. This makes me think it's because the transmissioin is being allowed to move.

maybe you should try a driver side mount, mine busted 2 times, once broke from the frame and then i took a cheap quick fix and welded the stock driver side formthe top to the bottum. to hold it solid no more shakin for me.
