I have a 1990 CRX Si, stock d16a6 motor, and I just got a Jackson Racing supercharger for it. It comes with everything except the pulley/bracket and belts. The supercharger came off of a d16z6 (92-95 civic) motor. Which bracket, pulley and belts do I need to purchase from JR's website? Do i need the items meant for a z6 engine or my stock a6 engine?

My other question involves the use of nitrous. I just bought a NOS system and would like to use both the supercharger and the nitrous. My engine is in very good shape for having just under 200k miles. It doesn't burn or leak oil- babied since day 1. Can I use both the of these on my stock engine? I drive conservatively but I really want to outrun my friend's new GSR.

our best bet is to build your motor for the supercharger and nitrous set up. eventually you will bow the motor becuase of the high miliage and the amout of pressure and hp ou want the motor to produce. stonger rods and a tad bit lower compression pistons should do the trick and while your at it, get atleast some 310 fuel injectors ( if not the 440's ) and hondata, neptune, uberdata or something to control the fuel and motor.

My advice is get the engine running smoothly with the SC before you start f'ing with NOS.

 

The nitrous kit (60 shot) is already installed. I will probably leave it there and just not use it. I got such a good deal on it and then along came the supercharger. I appreciate the input.
