Default Benefits of water cooled turbo?

The turbo i ordered came with both oil and water cooled. I was planning on just running oil through it. But are there any benefits of making it water cooled too?

Run the water cooling option too, it greatly reduces heat. It'll help your turbo's efficiency range, and keep air temps down a bit, along with being safer on the turbo.

And when you shut the car off, the water keeps flowing through it just by the fact that its a hot spot with cooler water running through it. The water will continue to move without the pump on, helping lessen the heat soak.

In that case. Anyone know where I can buy elbow water fittings for the GT35R? Or any idea on what size threading they are? Also the tubing. Any idea on where I can get high temperature hoses for the water lines? thanks

atpturbo.com sells fittings for all the GT series turbos. mine (28R) are 16mm threads for banjo bolts and the banjo fitting has a 1/4 NPT on it with the suggestion of -6 lines, the 35R may have bigger ones.
High temp hoses can be SS braided, rubber, the Twist-Lok type hoses, etc..... water's not that hot, you can use whatever your hose material of choice is from summit, jegs whatever.

I'm sure that on all Garrett GT series ball bearing turbos it's required to run both oil and water to cool down the turbo.

It keeps you from having to use a turbo timer, but you can still get one so people can tell you "Hey, you left your car running!"

If I got two of those on both sides of the turbo for in and out. and run hoses with clamps. Would that work well?
