Default ATTN: AEM, concerning new Si

How much power does you CAI make and can u use a bypass valve on it. I was wondering as it would be a good first mod and you said you release hp and tq numbers in january after the release of the car.

Not too bad. Assuming these figures were done on a bone stock unit. Some tuning to get rid of that VTEC crossover valley would be NICE.
I think with tuning, header, exh and intake some VERY nice numbers can be realized.

Yes, its a Cold Air, and it was done on a completely bone stock Civic Si.

No bypass valve is available since the MAF sensor placement doesn't allow the proper use of it.

There is a short ram coming soon.

No pics included in the charts, and I haven't dug around to find pics elsewhere.

Gimme a minute; I'll post jpeg versions of the pdf's.

Ok, 7.3 HP gain, but how does it sound compared to the stock intake?

Is it still only available in polished? I checked on it a week or so ago, and that was all that was released. Is there any plans for powercoating black... I am awaiting Injen blk, but between the two companies I have no strong feelings either way, both GREAT companies...I just am picky and want black. CAI I am referring to fyi

Alright, called my distributor today.

They came up with two part numbers.

22-516
and
21-516

I assume the "22" part number is the short ram?

I understand that is an option...just like buying silver wheels when you want bronze, just seems more feasible to buy the black when it is an option. And typically a polished piece takes more time to make/finish and is more expensive, so spending the extra money for polished only to paint is a waste...

Back to my original question for the AEM boys... Any idea for options in black for the CAI?
