B16 tranny has shorter gears. RPM in 5th gear would be higher than what it is with your LS tranny. If youre going for a FI setup an LS transmission would be better, IMO. but if you want to go NA a B16 tranny would probably be better.

if you have an ls tranny you shouldnt cruise at 4000 rpm in 5th at 80....i have a b16 and i cruise a little over 4 grand...and no the ls tranny is not better for boost...im not going to go into that again

longer gears are never something better...ignore tre's post (if you need traction that badly, there are other methods than going to a longer geared transmission)

Look into getting a Quaife LSD aftermarket tranny mated to your LS Tranny. That wouldnt be too bad. Just my opinion.

you can build the ls with the money youd use to swap it....and more than likely itd be faster than that swap

Not to steel, but I was thinking of doing the same thing. I know it works really well on older Civics with Ls swaps, but what axles would you use on a DC integra with a B16A tranny? Are the hubs the same as a Civic?

you need a hydro b16...for a hydro ls....aka the SI tranny outta the 99 SI...your axles remain the same...

not mine...im around 4200-4300...have to remember wheel diamater can throw it off a couple hundred rpm

best way i tell an si tranny is by 2nd gear...if it goes to 58-60 (on an ls) its not an si tranny...my 2nd gear is over at 51-53

you do not have a b16 tranny if you can go far over 100mph in 4th gear...sorry...

which is what is being discussed...the b16 tranny...NOT the engine which i think is what youre talking about
