b16 tranny on ls motor
i herd the b16 tranny is better on the ls motor than the ls tranny what exzactley does it help with..... i do alot of highway travel and when i crusin at like 80 im at 4 grand will a b16 tranny reduce that and make it better on top end ???????? thanx
B16 tranny has shorter gears. RPM in 5th gear would be higher than what it is with your LS tranny. If youre going for a FI setup an LS transmission would be better, IMO. but if you want to go NA a B16 tranny would probably be better.
if you have an ls tranny you shouldnt cruise at 4000 rpm in 5th at 80....i have a b16 and i cruise a little over 4 grand...and no the ls tranny is not better for boost...im not going to go into that again
longer gears are never something better...ignore tre's post (if you need traction that badly, there are other methods than going to a longer geared transmission)

thanx for the adviceill prob stick with the ls but i still dont know what i wanna do in terms of motor swap or just build the ls ................thanx again tho this is also my first integra so im tryin to get all the info on it b4 i make my choice.
Not to steel, but I was thinking of doing the same thing. I know it works really well on older Civics with Ls swaps, but what axles would you use on a DC integra with a B16A tranny? Are the hubs the same as a Civic?
