Default ATTENTION LOCAL FLORIDA TRANNY REBUILDERS

My Hydro gsr tranny recently was rebuilt by a local, gear synchros 1-4 and some gsr internals were replaced with lower mileage gsr internals. But the problem that i had before it was rebuilt was that i had some grinding gears and about a month later none of the gears didn't engage. You could hear it go in but it wouldn't engage plus you could hear something was loose inside the tranny. I still have the same problem after it was rebuilt i guess it was never repaired!! If anybody can fix it or knows someone around Central FLORIDA that can look at it for me and possible repair it PLEASE LET ME KNOW! PM ME PLEASE! THANKS!

Note: The transmission is out of the car and im willing to drop it off and pay for someone to fix it. PLEASE HELP!

Im using a ACT stage 3 clutch. Everything worked great after the tranny was rebuilt. 3 days later the gears just didn't engage.

You can feel the gears, what i mean by engage is when the gear goes in and you gas it you can see the speedo accelerate but the car doesn't move.. so the gears are engaging just not with the diff

Thats a good point. But they are all the way in. The car worked perfect.. i don't see how it could of popped out when the disc brake is keeping it in. Plus.. its the second time this has happened so i believe its something that was put in the right place but then came loose again.

your diff is broken or an axle is out...it can pop out of the transmission if the clip is bad

the speedo gear is on the diff so if its picking up speed the diff is spinning which means the gears are working

Well the tranny is out now.. Can i just put it manual in gear and just spin the shaft to see if the diff spins? Will that tell me that it was the axle situation?
The passenger side axle was replaced with a new one when it was rebuilt.

Ok guys.. i found out the problem.. Thankyou HONDA-TECH for the help!... You were right its the axle... i think i purchased a non-abs axle because it slips in the diff... I tried the old one and it works.. So i guess that was it.. and my tranny was rebuilt right! THANKS GUYS!!!!!!!!

abs wouldnt have anything to do with it as it just means it has a ring on the hub side....however sometimes the cores they rebuild are not for the correct car as marked and the splines may have been to small since it was for a different car

glad you got it fixed

Well Guys i just figured out that its my differential thats broken. What does this mean... I put the axle in all the way, I turn the axle and the main shaft spins.. then i grip the mainshaft to stop it from spinning and it does while the axle is still spinning!! The diff makes a wierd grinding noise, im guessing its a broken diff.

do you have the other axle in too? if you dont have lsd then then youre most likely just transfering the power to the other side of the diff. if you put the other axle in and dont let it or the mainshaft spin and the other axle still turns then something is wrong. otherwise the diff is doing what it should.

if your positive something is wrong ive rebuilt a few trans's and i could take a look at it for you but im kinda far.
