GSR into 92 SI hatchback need some info??
I might be getting a 94 + GSR motor for a really good price. And before I want to do the swap I want to know the general information on what parts I’m going to need. Well the motor comes with mounts and axles. I was wondering if the stock mounts and axles would fit rite in? and do wiring differ and what modifications I need to do if its differ? and by the way is there a sight where i can read about this kind of swap. thanks guys.
Some people use stock civic mounts but i would recomend using integra mounts. You will also need to use the integra axles and intermediate shaft. You need the b-series tranny also.
what do you mean by intermediate shaft? Shift linkage i suspect. and what about wirings is there anything different or does it plugs rite up??

check out their 5th gen tech, it has all the information you could need.

No he does not mean shift linkage when he said intermediate shaft. The intermediate shaft goes behind the motor and you put one drive axle into one end and the end goes into the tranny and then goes the other drive axle. Do a search it is easier then explaining it. I have a feeling you will need pics.
dang, that large long black thing behind the motor rite. i thought that everything will fit rite in. as to mounts and axles. how about wiring??

Okay, you're looking for the simple answer, and the answer is, it's not simple.
Every complete engine and tranny will more than likely come with the intermidiate shaft included. You don't hear people talk about it much because civics don't have them and integras do. So it's expected that with a swap, you will get it. The linkage is totally different. You'll need that also, but i think the integra one works fine in most cases. If you can get ahold of the whole car and get every part off it that would be best, but that hardly ever happens. If you get it just drop it all off at my house and i'll hook it up. Hell yeah, just leave it on the front porch, come see me in a couple weeks.
Good luck!
Oh yeah and wiring, if you use an aftermarket ecu with the knock sensor disabled, you are gonna be totally cool. If you use the GSR ECU, you will have to add this wire for the knock sensor. It's not that hard, it's just not fun.
