check engine light help
ok, i got a check engine light on my 95 ls but when i turn off the car and turn it on again it goes away so i cant check it. has anyone else had this problem? it comes on again after driving a little bit.
yea its normal. if you clear it will come back. it depends on how hard or faulty the code is. it will come back quickly after two full trip cycles. sometimes it can stay in the ecu memory due to monitors constantly sending feed back to your ecu. best bet is to find out whats wrong and fix it.
Lol mannn..do you know how to check the cel code? Just turn off the car and jump the service connector located underneath the glove box compartment and then put in your key and turn it on to ignition or whatever. You don't have to turn on your car. Slow flash mean 10 and quick flash mean 1. So short short short short long equal to 41. G/l.

Ok, you need the jump the green connector underneath your glove box with a paper clip or something, from one hole into the other. You then turn your ignition to the ON position, but dont turn the car on. Your CEL will flash, a long flash means 10, and short means 1. So if it flashes, long long short short = code 22.
It will flash over and over, so dont worry about gettin it right away.
Check this thread for the code ID.

There is also a thread on team integra with a pic of your actual green connector, but i dont have time to find it right now.
