93 integra fuel pump problem, NEED HELP!
i searched around the site...couldnt find anything that pin pointed my problem.... my integras got a stock ls right now and at first it was bogging then eventually stalling and now it wont start...im pretty sure its the fuel pump or possibly an issue in the fuel line... there was condensation in the tank when i got the car so i drained the tank and put dry gas in it, which helped,,,,,now i took the back seat out thinking i can access the fuel pump from there but i took the cap off and it was just the sensor...when i look inside there was traces of rust, most likely from the condesation...PLEASE HELP, thanks
check your fuel filter. check the pump (does it make noise when you turn the key?) how much rust is in that tank? it could have plugged the filter up so make sure if thats the case that tank gets cleaned out or replaced to avoid problems in the future. condensation is not your problem if there was alot of water in there it could be but a little condensation doesnt hurt much, drygas isnt going to solve a no start. 1.drain tank 2.inspect for excessive rust 3. replace fuel filter 4. FILL tank with good fresh fuel. 5. check for fuel pressure at the rail if you have it then youve got another problem
are you sure its a fuel related problem? maybe a tune-up? id say try everything you can before you yank the tank off to replace the fuel pump, yes in the 90-93 model tegs you have to remove the gas tank to replace the pump.
thats the only thing i hate about my car

yea, hows the ignition system looking?

the fuel system is hard to work with, the filter is different from most, and the pump is in the tank that requires you to drop it, it sucks
i replaced my filter and pump over the summer, its about $15 for the filter and $100 for the pump (walbro 255) and set aside your whole afternoon because dropping the tank is no fun
if the tank is rusty or crap on the inside, it may have clogged the fuel pickup filter on the pump.... also, do you have a fuel pressure gauge? what is the psi?
