So im going to go get my car dynoed...hopefully by the end of next week.. what plugs should I run in this thing...right now with my basemap (only to get to the muffler shop and tuner-INTEC in Kent,WA) I am running NGK copper v power one heat range colder than stock. They are the 6 series.
Setup is:
Stock (for now) internal bottom end F22B1
450cc DSM injectors
Turbonetics t3/40e 57 trim turbo
LSD semi tubular ss mani w external gate

2.5" down pipe
Open dump tube
Tial 38 mm wastegate (.4 bar spring)
Custom intercooler
Tial 50 mm BOV
2.5" aluminum charge pipe
chipped p-72 running crome
Hallman PRO RX manual boost controller
Golden Eagle vacuum manifold
I have also put in a stage 3 6 puck clutch,
and 12 pound chrome molly flywheel in to deal with the additional power.
Any of you f22 guys have any advice as far as safe/realistic power goals for me to expect. Everyone has been great at helping me out so far, and the project is almost copmpleted.. I CANT WAIT,
OK another pic... Intercooler and piping...done.
Boost controller and golden Eagle vacum/boost manifold...done

YES father...I HAVE JOINED THE POWER OF THE DARK SIDE!!!

nice setup. i have a similar setup that i should already be boosting with but im in the middle of a move and things are on hold...
you should be thanking me for that manifold, hahaha jk... but anyways my car (94 EX f22b1) and turbo (garrett t3/to4e .60/.63ar 57trim) was what Mike @ LSD Motorsport used to start the production mock manifold. i spent a few days w/ him figuring out how to position the turbo to clear AC and have dp clearance. glad to see something i helped create being put to good use.

heres a pic of Mike welding up the mock up mani in my garage.
as for spark plugs, stock copper plugs w/ 1 or 2 step colder is fine. when i was running nitrous i ran ngk bkr7e and tightend the gap to .030 - .035 and had great success w/ them and will probably run them again once the turbo is on.
and for pistons... are you getting the blocked sleeved or running stock sleeves?
i plan on running stock sleeves w/ raceeng.com pistons (rebadged wisecos). they have a stock CR 8.8:1, stock 85mm bore, forged piston made for them by wiseco.
and for rods, i wasnt aware that eagle made rods for f22/h23. i know that crower makes 4340 steel billet rods for f22/h23 but they cost a grip. ive seen some no name/china forged 4340 steel h-beam rods for cheap but i dont really want to test my luck with them... unless you want to first...

YA man, THANKS!!! Ill post more pics up soon, going down to expletive with the car now, and get it ready for exhaust and the dyno...
Thanks for the info on the pistons too, Im running the setup on my stock internal bottom end for now while i build another block. probably keep the stock sleeves (us lucky f22b1 owners - you know, Iron and all)
Good luck with your setup -
Hope to be driving mine tuned by the first of the year!!!
