PS? Power steering? Hook up the VSS? - i think not.
They do look like power steering lines though - but they would hook up to the steering gearbox........One should be a high pressure line and the other a low pressure return line. Or they could hook up to the power steering resevoir
I didn't think the VSS had any hoses coming to it - i see a looped hose - whatever that is or.
But to be honest - i'm not sure. I'm having a hard time figuring out where that picture IS. Can you take an expanded picture? So we can see everything around it?

ya they look like ps lines. if they are the ps lines i am thinking of, then they do go into the transmission somewhere next to the vss, but not the actual vss. look on the tranny for where they hook up to, the soft lines aren't that long so the hard lines shouldn't bee too far away from eachother. look by the vss and the shifting mechanism on the transmission for 2 nipples, then connect them to the hard lines with some soft lines.

What? Why would power steering lines go to the transaxle? They have to go to the gearbox.
We should have the rack & pinion style - it should look like this :
.................................................. .|o |
.................................................. .|o |
<<Tie Rod<<<</_`_`_`_`_`_`_`_`_`_`_`/ >>tie rod>>>>>>
Sorry - thats the best i could do - but the holes are where the power steering lines go. High pressure on top - return line on bottom. First, make sure those lines don't go to the power steering resevoir(where you put the fluid).
Ha. That looks like a damn boat
Although not the shape - picture the dots as the power steering lines.
Also - if you don't know, the tie rods connect to the steering knuckle.
