trying to clean up the engine bay and plus its not too necessary with the weight of my car.
EDIT: here are a couple pics of what im talking about
inlet and outlet lines not sure which one is which but they have rubber hoses coming off of them. im thinking those need to be looped together?
main line to the pump. (take it off and cap it?)

Re: looking for power steering removal how-to (92BluEH-3)
just remove everything and loop the lines on the rack, or run a breather to make it a little easier.
WARNING! I hope you are ready for it. I had my p/s removed in my 95 si and I wish I still had it. I think it is well worth the 4hp or whatever u gain from removing it. In my honest opinion p/s is well worth it unless you like difficult turning at low speeds, etc.

would it be better to get a manual rack instead of just looping?

Yeah if it's a street car and/or you have a smaller diameter steering wheel, you're going to want the manual rack for parking and low speed U turns.

Re: (civicslayrx)
Whats so jerry rigged about it. It just hooking some lines together to circulate the PS fluid. This took 30 min. to do. Swapping out racks would be lots more work.

Re: (civicslayrx)
In that case, I guess oil catch cans looked jerry rigged too with the hoses and clamps. That whole PS removal sits behind the motor anyways. Whos going to see it? Also, Its not like the hoses and clamps are going to blow off. Theres not enough pressure in the lines anymore.
