bolt? cv? ball joint? what are you really talking about.

if it is the nut on the ball joint then-

get a new ball joint and castle nut.

first, verify what you are really talking about to make it easier to help.

on the ball joint, (or any suspendion/steering/ brake component) this isn't the place to get ghetto with things. if you are really strapped for cash i guess you could try to knock one out of a junkyard knuckle without screwing it up or just getting another knuckle.

either way, bolt that **** up right. if (when) it comes off driveng because you rigged it you're going to be a whole lot worse off than if you bought 3 less beers and a new ball joint

yes it is the ball joint and the castle nut wont go on and im wondering if i can some how get that nut back on without spending money because im kinda running low because iv got four cars and im always putting parts into those and i didnt want to spend to much money on a crx i payed 200 for so i could use it as a winter beater because i want to keep my nice crx in the garage for winter.

are the threads on the ball joint stripped? if they are, get another joint in there. a new one is cheap, and you can probably find a decent free used one if you have any friends with parts. if they are just crooked a die might help chase the threads, but there isn't a great way to hold it.

if it is the nut, buy a new one.

if it is spinning but the threads look good, then congratulations, you dont need a new one. put pressure on the top of it (the stock scissor jack above it works for lots of people) and thread the nut on.

dont rig it. it needs the nut tightened to seat properly, and it will come off and cause WAY more of a problem for you. sorry man, cars require maintenence, and this is an easy (and cheap) one.
