Default Lower ball joint

1) How do you know if the lower ball joint is seated in the knuckle all the way? I see a small space on mine.

2) How do you go about do it?

I overtorqued mine thinking it would help seat it, however, I'm a little worried i might have weaked the bolt and will die on the fwy.

Thanks,
Ken

pic ? as long as the nut is on there along with the cotter pin you'll be safe the boot of the ball joint should sit flush with the FLCA.

the ball joint should be bottomed out on the knuckle.

If I overtorqued it, should I replace the ball joint? Do you think if the threads look ok, the ball joint bolt is ok?

I'm afraid to drive and have the bolt break while driving, or am I being overly cautious?

You're being too cautions, the bolt gets over torqued at times so the cotter pin can be put in. You'll be fine monitor won't ruin the ball joint.

you say you over torqued the nut, were you using a torque wrench and if so what did you torque the nut to?
