d15 with 97 d16y7 head?
i ****** finally put the damn head on and the timing belt is to long by about 2 inches i guess.. so do i use the 97 dx timing belt? someone told me they were the same i did a search to find out but i didnt find who.. so any way i just need to know witch tb to use.. im goin back to the shop monday to finish up my work on the car so help a brotha out.
Perhaps the VX belt might work? If I'm not mistaken the Y7 head is geomtrically similar to the VTEC heads and the VX belt is the only D15 VTEC belt out there. I'm almost certain you'll need a adjustable cam gear too. The problem is that I thought the D15 non-VTEC belt should be too short, not too long.
Good luck figuring it out.
