Default EF SEDAN SWAP

Hey fellas, sorry about this. I know there is alot of info on it, but I just can't put 2 & 2 together. I have been looking around to see if I could just use an EX harness from a 90-91 in a lx or dx. I don't want to have to wire in MPFI. I'm gonna swap in a b16a1 with a PR3 obd0. I understand wiring in 5 extra wires for vtec and knock. But I want to skip the step of dpfi to mpfi with a EX harness. WIll this work?

i think it will work if you use the whole inside and outside harness but that's just gonna be worst then wiring it up for mpfi.....
im pretty sure that it will not work if you just use the enigne harness
your best bet is to just wire it up to mpfi it's not that hard yo!!!

He's right, you'd need to use more than just the engine harness. The LX/DX wiring has the crank positioning sensor on 2 certain wires to the ecu, but the EX/SI/HF use those wires for the crank angle sensor, and put the other sensor on two other ecu pins. Honestly, MPFI wiring is easy - at least compaired to doing an obd-1 conversion.

just do the mpfi swap, it might look like much at worst, but get everything you need and get started, two hours max on the wiring if you are patient and follow the steps. g/l
