Default Unsolved Window Problem...NEED HELP!!!

Yeah, well I own a 97 EK EX 2dr...and my passengerside window stopped working all of a sudden. I can't seem to find the problem. I checked the fuses and they are all ok. I even switched out the window switch relays and still no luck. I think it's the door harness that probably needs to be replaced because I know the window motor works because I got it working by unplugging the door harness connector from the door lock outlet connector and plugged it into the window motor, then used the door lock switch on the driver's side to get the window up...ghetto style. If anybody can help or has ran into this problem then I would greatly appreciate it!

is the lock out switch pushed on the drivers side? if you have that flipped you cant use the drivers or passengers switch to roll up the window. start with the simple stuff. sometimes people just have a dumbass moment.

Yep - lockout switch is the first thing to check.

The window motor does work just not the cable that connects to it. I already checked the lock out switch for the window and that doesn't seem to be the problem neither. Any other ideas? Do I need to replace the door harness?

sounds to me like your regulator is shot. if the window wont work and the motor works if you hook it up to a 12 v source. your regulator must be binding up somewhere

That's the thing...I never hooked up the window motor to a 12 v source...I just hooked it into the connector on the door harness that connects the end of the door to the lock actuator I think it's called? Used the door lock switch on the driver's side and the window works that way with the door lock switch instead of the window switch, that's the reason I was guessing I might need a new door harness as the connector to the window motor is the only thing that seems to not be working? Any more advice would help from someone who has encountered this problem!!! Please help because I don't want to waste any more money trying to figure out the problem myself.
