FROM THE FACTORY MANUAL
1. Perform ECU reset procedure
2. Hole engine at 3000-4000 RPM for 10 seconds
3. If code reapers check for short in KS wire ( Check continuity between ECU connector and pin D6 and body ground) YES Repair Short in Wire
4. If there is <U>NOT</U> continuity Check for an open in KS wire
Check for continuity between ECU connector terminal D6 and knock sensor connector. YES Repair open in KS wire
5. NO Subsititue with known good Knock Sensor

Hope this helps.
be careful when handleing the knock sensors their connections are very delicate and can easily lead to problems if not taken care of appropriotly.

Make sure its in there tight. On my B16 the knock sensor had a habit of getting loose and would throw a CEL.

Did you check the lines with a multimeter? That is really the only way to tell. The wire might look fine on the outside but it could be bad on the inside. Is there another ECU that you can try? Another knock sensor?

Did you clear the code? If you need make sure its not knocking. Check timing etc etc. Make sure its tight. You make think it is, but its possible. Was it bought from Honda?
