searched and searched... knock sensor cel wont go away.
Okay guys this is killing me. 1996 civic I have a P2P ecu on a d6y7 block and d16y8 head.
I hooked up the iacv fix. As well as vtec, and knock.
The knock sensor CEL wont go away no matter what I do. I clear the codes and the light stays off till you drive about 1 minute then its back on. changed sensor and wiring, double and triple checked wires. I keep resetting and it keeps comming back. GRRR
help
Steve

But how did you wire it? It must be wired w/ shielded wire and the insulating wire needs to be grounded near the ecu and not the engine side....

tried the shilded wire thing.... booya it works.
but i used the new knock sensor for now to see what happens.
the one i bought was a 1999 sunfire gt knock sensor. screwed right in, just needed a new plug. I also used an RCA cable (coax style) braided and i hooked the outside wire to my ecu ground point. so far so good.
