On December 12th in Japan Spoon announced dual 2.2L Engine Kit's for
Honda's F20C Motor (AP1 - S2000). Available in both standard and 0.25
oversize piston versions, each will retail at 144,900 Yen. Contents include: Piston x4, Ring x4, Pin x4, Sirclip x8, Con-Rod x4, Oil Jet x4, Crank Shaft x1 Head Gasket x1. Specifications: Bore And Stroke: 87.0mm x 90.7mm, Compression Ratio: 11.8, Max Power (PS/rpm) 240/7,800 Max Torque: (N-m/rpm) 224/6,500, Rev Limit: 8,000rpm, Specified Engine Oil: MOTUL 300V. You can buy the kit via the Spoon website and through authorized dealers across Japan.

No..............to get a ball park figure of the conversion I just drop the last number of the yen amount so 145,000 yen = around $14,500 us. Its not exact but you get the idea.
And come on a fully built engine from Spoon for $1,200 us.......you should know better.

hum, im not sure if i would buy a crate motor for the s2000 or built up internals. i really like the 2.5 inline kit. im pretty sure i rather have the 2.5 than a JDM crate...maybe a toda stroker though, who knows...

No............the current exhange rate from US$ to Yen is .008621. 144,900 yen = $1249.14 USD. http://finance.yahoo.com/currency
That price can't be right, there's no way a Spoon F20 engine could only cost $1249.
EDIT: Just noticed it's a "kit" not a complete engine, but it still sounds like a pretty good deal.
