A very good friend of mine has a 2001 gray S2k that has unfortunately taken a beating from the weather down here. The top is totally messed up. The back window is completely faded and rusted. I didn't even know clear plastic could rust. Anyway, he wants to replace the entire top to the one with the rear glass window. Do you guys know where I could point him to? And roughly how much should that cost him including installation? Thanks!

 

i did the conversion on mine since i gotmine slashed with a knife. Bastards. I have the pdf somewhere i think its on my PC at home The installation will take about 10 hours according to the instructions. Mine took about 5 cause my original one i justg cut off.

Get a hardtop

 

Did you ever get the info you needed? I need to replace my top and wanted to know about the mods needed to use glass. I also need complete instructions, which nobody seems to have.

 

Speaking of hard tops.... I was wondering if anyone knew about this other kind of hardtop I had seen on an s2k. I wish I had a picture. It was on like a race prep version and the top ran almost all the way to the back of the trunk lid, gave it almost a Porsche sillouette. I have only seen it that one time and was wondering if anyone else knows anything about it.

Thanks for the link. alot of cool stuff on there, though I didn't see the hardtop. Here are some better pictures of it that I hunted down. It looks like it is the regular hardtop with an exention on it, a second hatch. looks like alot of weight to me... but still pretty cool.

it's a one piece.... (special order item) .... the part that looks like a second piece is a hatch to allow you to get to the trunk....or in spoons case probably the fuel cell

 

MMmMMMMMM Mooncraft. I love that top! I wish I could justify spending that money on my street car. I would love to see some one Gangster enough to rock that **** on the street!
