Default D15B Swap

I installed a d15b in a buddys crx yesterday and need some help here. We used the boomslang harness to convert it to obd1, and the distributor conversion harness from Rywire. The only wires we couldnt get hooked up from the boomslang sub-harness were the pink wire/to the IAB and the red one to the knock sensor. Does the d15b not have a knock sensor? And where am i supposed to run the pink wire to? Also when taking off it surges up and down real fast right at 1500 rpms then quickly goes up to 3000 rpms.

Ok I found out today that the car has no catalytic converter. I know this will cause the check engine light to come on since its been converted to obd1, but would this cause the engine to surge like it is at 1500rpms?

Also i had to hardwire the o2 sensor to the harness. Do the two black o2 wires have to be specific when wired to the harness or does it matter? I know the gray is ground and the white is signal but the 2 black wires im not sure.

after converting the crx to obd1 do you check the engine codes the same way you do the 92-00 civics? jump the two wires on the ecu.

Ok just read on boomslang to check codes using the 2-pin connector near the drivers side shock tower. is this correct?
