help in b16a swap
I just did my swap into my 93 cx hatch. With a 0bd1 harness and we had to do the drirect wires for the vtec and now my check engine lIght comes out with a 23 cel the guy that I bought the engine from said everythin was ok in his car and doesn't. Know why that. Cel came out. So my question is .. what could be the problem and its that the correct harness ? I have a b16a ecu p30 on it as well .. any help?

Re: help in b16a swap
you gotta wire up your knock sensor like you did with the vtec. cel 23= knock sensor. it goes to pin 3 on connector D if i remember correctly. the wire from the knock sensor is red and blue(1wire) so look for that on the engine loom that isent leading from the cars loom so do what you did wit vtec

well like the vtec the knock sensor dosent lead strate to the ecu cause cx engines dont have them + id advise you not too blitz the car around till you wire that sensor up. your pistons will come out through the walls

Anyway wire up knock sensor or get a chipped p28 with a b16a map on it. It wont blow your engine if its not wired up but I think it retards your ignition timing. making it slower.

Re: help in b16a swap
just run the 3 wires for the o2 that the CX harness doesnt have OR get a integra harness that has it wired in and can connect to your shock towers.
Add 3 wires cheap but IDK exactly where they go
Integra harness is easy, no wiring at all but would have to pay more.

Re: help in b16a swap
From what I read on FF-squad ALL civic harness' are wired for 4 wire o2 from shock tower to ECU but NOT all like CX and VX are wired for it from shock tower to engine.
http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/wiring/...ktowerplug.jpg
so a GSR harness would be best bet as long as its the same OBD.
