Default I need 2nd, 3rd, maybe even 9th opinions on this rod.

When I was removing the rods, I screwed up and put a few knicks into one of them. I'm wondering if you guys believe this should be of any huge concern?

Thanks...

scratches on the out side will not hurt anything unless they massive so to speak.but if they were on the inside i would have the rod checked.

Trick for splitting the big end of rods apart - Unscrew the bolt or nut until its most of the way out then hit the nut with a mallet. It will push the connecting rod and pisting upwards while safely splitting the big end apart.
