Its been awhile but i watched a vid where a guy snapped a rod or snapped the rod bolts during a burnout. He was not too happy.

its not as common as some people think........if a rod gets thrown from the block its probably from improper installation (wrong torque/bolt stretch) or abuse by the driver. (10500rpm is to much for those rods)

eagle rods are great when installed properly.

the reason why you hear so many of these stories is that Eagles outnumber the other brands in peoples' motors at least 10:1

it's not 10.5k but our all motor b20vtec revs to 9.5k whenever possible and it's been fine for almost 2 years now

I have seen eagle rods break, but i have seen them hold to. I had them in my first Sleeved motor. They held great.

I believe the biggest problem with Eagle rods -WAS- the rod bolts snapping. I've never personally seen or heard any stories about the actual rod bending or breaking. Most people instantly think that the rod was broken when they hear a story from someone, but in all reality it was 95% of the time a snapped rod bolt.

Eagle rods are the BOMB!! and even under the worst conditions

i spun a bearing, and still drove the ****** on the highway for 23 miles before getting home and the rod never gave away, i only damaged the bearing surface, and i was even told, by a machine shop, that the rod could be saved by some machining but that it will be ok N/A and not boosted because of the integrity of the metal was already compromised, and heres a pic
