Default Motor died on the freeway

I was driving on the freeway and I noticed I was going slower than usual, so I give the car more gas.
It starts to accelerate, but kinda slower than usual, I think nothing of it.
Next thing I know the rpm drops to 0.
It drop a bit and the RPM kicks back up.
Im thinking the tac is fugged up.
It happens again, after 10 secoonds, this time I'm losing speed.
few seconds later it comes back.
5 seconds rpm drops again and I lose speed, BUT this the it stays that way.
So I manage to pull it to the shoulder under an exit.
So my question is, What went wrong?

Cliff notes.
Drivin on the freeway and the motor quit on me.
Anyone know what gives?

almost sounds like a fuel problem. can you list any mods if you have any?

did the rpms actually drop or just the tach?

If it is just the tach almost positive it is your ignitor in your dizzy. it is a common problem. for accords and preludes.

To put that last reply in plain english you have an ignitor in your distributor. Tell us what kind of accord you have and we can help you out a little better.

It's a 1993 accord.
No motor mods.

Wat the diff between the tac dopping andn the rpm dropping?

remove your distributor cap, if you see lots of spark burns or may be lots of sand dust in it, then it is bad (not so bad but worn out)

also check all the plugs and plug wires
