H-T'ers! I need your help! Idling problem..
About 2 nights ago, my car was fine. It started up fine and ran fine as it normally does.
Lastl night, I started her and and she started fine. But I noticed that my RPM needle sat between 1200-1300 RPM's when the motor sounded like it's at 500-600RPM.
Everything with the motor is fine. I drove her around the block and she sounded perfectly normal except for the RPM needle issue.
I popped my hood and looked around my distributor and everything seemed to be in working order. No cut wires or unclipped harnesses or anything in that matter.
What is confusing me is why the RPM needle rests between 1200-1300 RPM when the car is idle, yet the motor is idling well around 500-600...
Could it be an electrical problem?
Has anyone ever faced this problem? Please help me.
Any tips/advice/experience would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks in advance..

Re: (Bond)
I just noticed that there's a small hole the size of a pen's tip that's on the distributor. I'm not too sure how it got there, but when the engine was on and I touched the distributor cap, I got JDM shocked...
I'm thinking it might be the cap..
