I took my head off the car and took out the cams but left the rockers and valves and springs and **** in still. I set the head on the gound with the cams facing the ground. The next mornign my dad took picked up the head to take it to the machine shop for me and found this part laying on the ground smashed up. I live in oregon for college and was home (washington) for the weekend. By the time my dad found that part i was already back in oregon to finish up school so i can finish my build over the winter break. Does anyone know what this part is?

its the dowel for the oil feed in the center of the head, under the middle cam cap. There should also be a small o ring along with it
