haha why would you guys go online to order metal? I'm sure there are 20 places locally you could get it, and cheaper probably.

 

I dont mind paying a little extra for not having to burn gas and time going to get it.
time=money

besides another vw person works there.

 

i guess that is a good attitued if you own a shop but as far as ppl who do this as a hobby i love the whole experiance of the long trip to pick it up then the fun of working on it all damn day and night to get it done in one day but get it done right also


but i still check out there link i hope they have some good prices lol

 

Dont get me wrong If its needed in a hurry i go local.
But I try not to run out of stuff.

 

For aluminum, online metals is the only place to go. Theres only one place somewhat local to me, which is still a 45 minute drive. They are a surplus store, and carry any and every metal you can think of....but you have to buy the entire piece of whatever your buying, no charging per foot. So, for big stuff that will take tons too ship, I go local, but I try to stay small so I can go through online metals. They have great prices and are really quick with turn around.
