Default Starting up the car.......?

This is for a friend of mine, he has a 94 civic sedan and when he goes to start his car outside in the cold, it cranks and takes a while for it to start. but when it starts up it runs okay. does anyone know what it could be? his car is all stock, automatic. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

check the usual things related with a tune up. spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor, air filter, fuel filter, oil and filter.

Mine always cranks hard in the cold, it always has. I've heard that by upgrading the grounds in the engine bay, it solves this problem.

Along with this try a battery with more CCAs (cold cranking amps).

this is a good idea. DO NOT USE A YELLOW OPTIMA. i had mine for 10 months and it crapped out. worse thing is, after $140 OPTIMA won't warranty it. a$$holes.
