engine starting problem

engine starting problem

Whenever I start my car (94 Accord LX), it sputters and almost dies for about 5 seconds, or until I rev up and get everything going. Does anyone know what is happening? Thanks

change that fuel filter for one if you haven't.

Does it only do it when it's cold? Maybe your idle is low?

have you had a tune-up recently? may or may not help your situation...

I just had a tune up, 2K miles ago. They changed the fuel filter, wires, plugs, distributor, a couple hoses...i dunno what could be wrong

and yes, only when i start it cold. idle is fine
