MSD 6AL IGNITION BOX....Any one tried this out on a SOHC non_V-tec?????

Default MSD 6AL IGNITION BOX....Any one tried this out on a SOHC non_V-tec?????

Just got ahold of a MSD6AL igtion box. Gonna hook it upa s soon as it comes.
Just wondering if anyone has already done this and if they liked it or not.
It would also be nice to here what rpm ship they used!

It's not really gonna do much for you at all. I would only reccomend a MSD if you have high compression, high boost, or rev hell out of it or any combination of the three. Otherwise it will not be worth it.

Yeah the stock honda ignition is good..Unless you plan on revving to 9k+ its a waste..Unless you just want it for rev limits and 2step..?

the stock Honda coils are crap - MSD is much better if you want something reliable - use the MSD external coil with the 6AL

your ECU has a built-in rev limiter (fuel cut-off) - depending on what ECU you have, the limit may be different - we just had our chip in the 6AL at a little above the ECU - we had the 6AL so that we could use the 2-step rev limiter for setting launch rpm

From waht I understand my ECU is probably around 6.5 R.P.M. I personally don't try to push it that hard every time I step into it. So I figured I might try achip for 6,000 R.P.M. That with my MSD cap thats already on there, I figure what the heck....
