Quad stage boost control triggering?
I am interested in one of the quad stage control systems on the market, havent decided which one yet. My main question is, how are you guys triggering the system? I obviously dont want to use flip switches and it seems a timing system would take a lot of time to setup. Thanks for your time
wire in a bunch of strobe lights under your car. and every 65th blink it will raise the boost. it will be awesome.
but most people either use MPH on their engine managment or a button on the steering wheel. i dont like the clutch switch idea.

Innovative is the shiznit, wire it up with a relay to the stock clutch switch, use a 15lb spring in the wastegate, read the manuel and go nuts.
There are different ramp setting that can make the boost come in hard or gradually.Iv'e sold 6 in the past 2 months and the customers swear by it.

Joe, i'd use that NLR controller and base it off of time. You can do gear with it as well if you decide to do that route. I think it's a much better controller than the Innovative, alot easier to get to work properly anyways.
the time based is a little complicated,(especially Joe being a 1 man team)it takes a lot of playing with ,i found in our class with no wheelie bars and such, no 2 runs are ever the same,so for one run you might get it right, the next you might be off.but on the clutch it never fails.
its one of the sponsors, i've seen it pop up there a few times. It allows CO2 control.
since autolab is using autronic as an EMS, I think they are limited to 1 output left, if they removed the GM boost selenoid. So that's just going from stage 1 to stage 2. I prefer a gear based boost controller, as for me, time would just kill me as i'm so damn inconsistant.
The NLR does look pretty nice though, not overly expensive for having the ability to control CO2.

thanks art.
hmm looks super nice. i'll have to check into it more. anybody used it? pretty easy to set up? and easy to make changes at the track with out having to get a computer science degree?

Thats how I wired mine up
We used a .5 WG spring and that controller still held 34psi.
