i run an aem ems with closed loop boost control, i had problems getting it to work but that was just my stupidity, i base boost off of speed, so next project will be hooking up my abs sensors to the rear wheels and use that for VSS. With the aem i am using my own pneumatic valve simmilar to apexi or greddy solinoid (normally open) for a boost control and using a 6 pound spring in my wastegate, it work great, i havent tested high boost (next year). My valve is hooked up to the wastegate it varies the boost that goes to the top of the wastegate and pressure goes on the bottom of the wg like normal. i have read that with high boost and high backpressure and low wastegate spring the boost will taper off on topend (due to exhaust back pressure forcing the wg open) and you can hook up another valve to the bottom of the wastegate to "vent off" the boost pressure therefore you can hold the boost to what ever you want. If i have this problem i will look for a single valve that will do both. but i dont know why everybody bashes aem i rum all of there stuff ems, cdi, wideband and havent had any problems thankfully.

the Ams-1000 has a clutch intput aka(transbrake, launch etc) it can be used with a ground or 12 + signal. You can choose shift input or time based for drag applications. No pid settings to mess around with its already set up. Proven to pick programs up!

I think he wanted 700 for everything(harness, igniton,M4 box)sytem only has 200 miles of operating on it. Let me know

GM boost Solonoid is my project this winter!!

Just wanted to say that I spoke with Sebastian (hope I spelled that correctly) at NLR yesterday about the AMS1000 and it was nice to be able to speak to someone on the phone that I could not only understand but also to someone who was very helpful answering my questions. Our decision has been made

Thanks again for your time sir

the nlr controller looks good but setting boost to come on at a time setting would be hard to do. your times may vary a good bit. mine do haha. how would you and what would you have to do to used the controller by gear. 15 in 1st, 20 in 2nd, 25 in 3rd, 30 in 4th. what would be the shift input signal on a honda. if i can set it up this way it would be great.

This looks to be the way to go with the quad stage.

Bill, it was a pleasure speaking to you as well.

Dome, Use a microswitch on your clutch to change stages if you want a shift based input. Then have a button on the steering wheel for your clutch input. When you hit this button it will reset the gear counter back to 1st, everytime you shift and you push the clutch in it will change to the next stage.

Time based is great for many reasons. The biggest reason for inconsistancy is the driver making mistakes which in turn delays the time for the next gear which in turn delays the onset of power. Using time the drivers ability to deliver the power( shift input or gear based) is taken away and power will be delivered at the same time every pass regardless of what the driver does.
