OBD Of teg 2000, same than a 96?
I know mine is Obd2 but what about a 96 i think its obd2 also , but is it possible that there would be some other variable that would require other harness to fit his ECU my car?

92-95 OBD1
96-99 OBD2a
00-01 OBD2b
you have a 00 which has a OBD2b ECU and your friend's car is a 96 with a OBD2a ECU. look around for a OBD2b to OBD2a conversion harness to use his ECU. you'll notice that your ECU plugs will not plugs into his ECU w/o the harness conversion anyways.
96-99 OBD2a
00-01 OBD2b
you have a 00 which has a OBD2b ECU and your friend's car is a 96 with a OBD2a ECU. look around for a OBD2b to OBD2a conversion harness to use his ECU. you'll notice that your ECU plugs will not plugs into his ECU w/o the harness conversion anyways.

he got the years of the ECUs mixed up with the front bumper style.
94-97 has the older bumper with round head lights
98+ has the newer bumper with oval head lights
