Default what do i need...converting obd2 to obd1

what is it going to take to convert my 98 civic to obd1, i know i need the skunk2 conversion harness but will it be long enough to make it to the ecu since obd2 harness runs through the firewall straight to the ecu?

The conversion harness you are talking about connects to the plugs that go into the ECU.

You are putting an obd1 LS swap in your 2000 Civic?

It is older than your car, that is against the law.

LOL

Putting an OBD1 motor into an OBD2 car is possible. You will need to adapt your OBD2 harness to the OBD1 engine (fuel injectors, convert the dizzy plug to OBD2). The rest will plug in.

For the ECU plugs, you need an OBD2b > OBD1 jumper harness

It is possible but it is still illegal, correct?

imo, its easier to convert the motor to obd2 (using obd2 dizzy, injectors, and altenator), use the stock civic harness, then use the obd1 ecu with a jumper harness. unless u mod the engine harness REALLY well, you'll wind up with headache from wiring problems

We all know how much fun wiring problems are. I have my own right now.
