Default 95 J-spec H22 in 5th gen?

hey whats up yall, sorry if this is a re-post but i googled/searched and didnt really come up with the answers i was looking for. So i have a 1999 Lude and recently purchased a 95 JDM H22 with the matching ECU, and the intake/exhaust manifolds. My question I was wondering is, will i need any aditional parts for the conversion like obd converter...ect. i have everything from my USDM engine and im just wondering if im missing anything? Also I wanted to know if I should exspect any set backs/problems/...ect with this install.

thanks yall
and all info is appreciated

if you wanna go OBD1 then you need an OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness. If you wanna stay OBD2, then you're good to go, you won't need anything else, it'll bolt/wire right up.

You'll need the resistor box for the peak and hold injectors, if you use them. Either use the box, or wire in individual resistors before each injector feed.

If you are using your distributor from your old motor, you will need to change that, too. I had the motor all the way in, and a friend said, "by the way, you have to change your distributor." It has to do with the TDC sensor and two others. If you received a distributor with the motor, you should be good to go. I ended up buying a 94 distributor and took out the sensors that i needed....I'm sure there is a better way, but I'm just warning you.

When I used my wiring harness, I had to move(cut tape like crazy and retape) some connections around because of reaching problems.

That's all the problems I remember running into. Good luck.

Let me know when you get through. Send me some pics. Also, now is a great time to paint your engine bay. If you have any faded sections, like I did, I'd paint them...makes a HUGE difference.

You can do it the cheap way with spray cans; I recommend flat paint. Do anything to make all of your engine bay the same color. Lucky for me, my car is black. I just painted all the worn places and scuffed places flat black.
