Well I bought a head from G2hybrid off here. I put it on my car with a new cometic headgasket. G2hybrid said the head had low miles and was in perfect condition so I didn't think to check the valves. Well the car ran like pure crap and shot raw gas out like a champ. Checked my compression and my #2 cyl had horrible compression. Took the head off and found out it had some bent valves on the #2 cyl.

So here is my question. I only drove the car around the block and idled for about 15 min. The headgasket was a Cometic MLS gasket. Can I reuse this gasket or do I need to buy another one?

 

reuse it. I've done it a few times. You will be fine. just make sure all the surfaces are nice and clean

 

I would reuse the gasket, I have had excellent results in the past with reusing mls.....however from what I read on here some have not....

From my expierence, everything from autozone is crap.

Go OEM Honda
