I'm assuming this is in a 92-95 civic...
Theres one wire coming off of the solenoid, and two coming off the vtec oil pressure switch. Run the vtec solenoid to pin A4 on the ECU, and run one of the wires from the oil pressure switch to pin D6. The other wire from the oil pressure switch you ground out.

yes its in a 94 civic...well i just got the solenoid, i didn't get it with the head and i don't have the plugs that plug into the solenoid.

like it came with tap #1 and #4 and #1 is like made into it. i don't have plugs #2 and #3. i can splice the wires on #1 if i had to but i can't with #4 what do i do with it?

#1 is the VTEC solenoid wire...you can cut it before it gets to plug #1 and just run it straight to the ECU if you want.
#2 is the oil pressure switch, a $48 part if you buy it new from honda. Try and find a junkyard and see if you can get one from a civic there. Its a 21mm or 22mm socket I can't remember. You can see there are two wires coming off plug #2, #4 is just the ground wire for it.

thanks for clearin up the #1 problem. but the other problem is that i have #4 which is the one that is tapped into the solenoid. i don't have #1 that plugs into it that has the 2 wires comming out of it.

if i take the oil pressure sensor/switch and put audio clips on the two nipples inside the sensor/switch and run wire to them will it work? and just ground one and run the other? like this...

^i couldn't find any pics so i made one
but you see what i mean? if i took the clip and put a wire in it and hooked it to the nipples in the sensor...would i work if i electric taped it so it wouldn't fall off? just for time being...
