Default 2.5" or 3" DP

2.5" or 3" DP and whats the diffrence since even thoght the turbo outlet is 2.5"
i made 454hp@16psi and 50shots dp with my h22
i'm using now 2.5" will gain more hp with 3"

Search. Yes, a larger downpipe will give you more horsepower and quicker spool.

already searched
but why it creats more power if the turbo outlet is 2.5" same the down pipe

Larger pipe = more flow = less backpressure = more power. Doesn't matter if the outlet is only 2.5", you're still trying to move a large volume of air and a bigger pipe is going to do it better.

Go unbolt your catback and see if it spools quicker and makes more power. Same deal as a bigger downpipe. The outlets on a lot of the turbos used on Supras arn't any bigger than 3" and they are making more power with 3.5" and 4" downpipes than they are with 3" DP's.
