i picked up a b16b swap for roughly 3gs at a local shop, now my buddy says the tranny is not a ctr tranny, its a b16 w/ lsd tranny so technically the same thing. i was wondering if anyone knows the ctr head code, mine says PR3-1. is it CTR? its a 97 if that helps. also did the 97 ctr tranny come w/ an LSD stamp?

it should say S4C with a lsd stamp, it's possible that the lsd stamp just wore off.

 

I know the pr3 casting is a b16/itr, not sure if the ctr shares the same cast or not..

 

the ctr and itr heads are supposed to be identical other than the cams which are pretty much identical themselves

 

thats what i thought, ask clean rice, he has a b16b afaik

00-01 itr's are the same as ctr from what I have heard..

There should be a big black S4C stamp on the tranny. If you need pics to compare then PM me and I'll send you shots of my motor out of the car.
