Lowering compression with a thicker head gasket
I want to lower my static CR, it's currently in the high 12's. Normally I wouldn't use a thicker head gasket to do it because of quench and side loading issues, but my CR is so high right now because my head was very heavily milled. I figure if I use a .080" gasket then I'll just be putting the quench back to OEM and I have a closed deck block, so the sides should be well supported. Any reason not to?
