Okay so I did a search and read a bunch of post but heres my question.

I was thinking about putting 6.5" or 6x9s in the back of my hatch into the little side pannel thing where the speakers are suppose to go as an "option" but I do not have the OEM speaker covers/grill OR brackets. I looked them up on ebay and i must say I am not going to spend $85 on the covers and not be able to mount them. Looked for brackets found 1 that came with the kit for more than $85. I've heard people Zip Tie them somehow? anyone care to explain? i have one metal rod/bracket going down the middle behind the covers. and I've heard that sometimes that will rattle. I was thinking of customizing my own mounts or mounting them to the freakin' panel somehow but its only 6" high but like over a foot long. Any ideas would be appreciate!

 

I am also considering this and have been contemplating making my own mouthing bracket for some 6x9s. They look as though they would fit and would then keep me from throwing a 8inch sub in the back.

do a search. i read a post about a guy who drilled em into his sheet metal and made a custom bracket out of plexiglass. then he dremeled a hole into the covers and wrapped the whole cover in black stretch microfiber clothe. it looked clean!
