Custom Brakets for Rear Speakers in a EG
I've been trying to do this for the longest time, to mount my rear speakers, I tried ordering brackets from Honda, but it's discontinued. I tried zip-ting them, but that moves around too much. and I don't want to cut my cargo.
I want to make my own brackets, I tried, but I never made a bracket for a speaker before, especially in a awkward spot like that, so if anyone can point me in the right direction, that'd be great
here was my first attempt, but it ended up moving way too much and the rubber would rub againts the grill

From what I can tell, based on the provided image you already have numbers 2 and 3, as they come with the car standard. I believe what you're looking for (and saying is discontinued) is numbers 6 and 8. These ARE NOT discontinued. I work for a Honda parts department and just located these as being available.
Now, I'm not sure what year or trim your Civic is, but those brackets #6 and #8 were only standard in 1994 and 1995 in the Si model.

they tried getting it, they can't. plus we all know that does are not the only brackets that are needed.
I searched, and rally can't find anything. but I remember last year some one was making these for people, selling them cheap too.
I'm sure someone made light weight bracket that works really good

you could make a mount out of some thin sheet steel and cutout for the speaker. it would bolt to that top bolt next to the speaker, the one to the right of the speaker towards the back of the car, and the one below and to the right of the speaker.i guess i could draw a pic or something and post it. i have a 4dr so i dont have that problem.

if you put 6x9 in there yo7u can just bolt them to the bar you see next to the speaker and use zipties on the other side it works great

Aight heres the only picture i was able to take of the bracket that i made (but ended up not using) before my batt in the camera died . There is a cut out of a half moon to fit the speaker in and it holds up good. Maybe this would help someone out.

http://community.webshots.com/user/95sihb {under accord folder } Here is a few picture I took from my 95Si, I'm gutting it and painting the inside, not sure if I will keep the rear speakers . I hope this helps. I think making a bracket would be easy looks like a nice piece of sheet metal and some tin-snips would do the trick. * i cant make this pic's post in here*

Re: Custom Brakets for Rear Speakers in a EG (RareSI)
I installed rear speakers in my 93 vx with just the 6-8 piece
in that diagram. I think I got them of ebay, so you should keep
checking there. When I got mine they also came with a piece
of plastic just to surround the speaker, but you don't need that.
All you need is that metal bracket if your hatch is the same as
mine. Those brackets bolted in in a few minutes to holes already
drilled in the framework behind the panels.
