How do I remove the cruise control cable???

How do I remove the cruise control cable???

I need to take the cruise control out but I can't get to the cable way up under the dash. I would rather not click the cable so is there any other way to get to it?

it is held by a clip.

You have to get in there and pull the cable down to this slot where the actual cable can slide through the metal part on the pedal. Or you could bend the metal part out so you can pull the cable out.
