Default B18C1 HELP

Hello I just traded my Del Sol with a B16A1 to a friend with a 00' Civic with B18C1

I like the car alot better..but none of that is really my question

Basically Im looking to build my car NA or Turbo

I heard that you cant turbo a B18C1 High Compression or something ( im new to this)

But i can trade the GSR head for a LS head and then turbo it.. and be good

What are some building blocks I should look at

and some good companies.. spending around 3-5k for a daily driver, but quick Red light to Red light...

oh yah side note.. I plan on getting it tuned from Neptune and Having them put a EMS in

DO NOT trade the gsr head for a ls head.....keep the gsr...boost and tune...my brother boosted his gsr at 8 and it was fine...if you want more boost...sell the gsr...get a ls...i think ls will handle up to 12 psi of boost stock block and internals...

yes DO NOT get rid of your gsr head. THere is a ton of information out there, but a gsr motor likes the boost!

actually the gsr vavletrain is good for boost. ive seen a b18c1 boosted at 10psi making 300 whp.. high compression doesnt mean you cant boost, it just means the tune has to be that much better..

So from what im getting is the GSR is okay to boost just have to have it tuned...Neptuner is doing the tune.. with there whole ems system

Turbo is down the road

I want to build the internals up first. What should I do to prepare for the turbo

well if your going to do this, lower the compression to 9.1:1 by getting some pistons, get some eagle rods and then you can boost it a lot higher then 10 psi or so. And like every turbo, tuning is key

Well as far as the kit goes, get a greddy turbo kit with an intercooler, you can find them brand new of ebay for like 2 grand or someting..

As for the rods, eagle makes them, and pistions, wiesco(sp?) makes good pistons. Just do a search and you can find there sites easy.

If your looking for a real good turbo kit that only cost a little more than one of those crappy ebay ones go with a Peakboost kit, I havent gotten one( I dont own a civic anymore) but they use qualitly parts.

are you planning on doing ths yourself or having a shop do it?
if you have a shop do it, just drop them off about $2314123428970987145(probably around $5000) and have them build the whole thing for you.

labor is a bitch...
make honda friends.
